Prior to being a YouTube sensation, podcast pro, author, late night TV show host and then some, Grace Helbig was a college student at Ramapo College of New Jersey and like many other college students she went through the process of interning multiple times.

Is 'The Grace Helbig Show' Getting Renewed By E! For A Second Season?

Helbig back in May actually returned to her alma mater to address the class of 2015. It was as if she was coming full circle. She was once in their shoes and then she was addressing them as their commencement speaker since she has accomplished so much.

The day of Ramapo College's commencement, Helbig even shared a photo of herself with a friend from their graduation day from Ramapo. Time certainly flies by!

What Does YouTuber Grace Helbig Correlate Her Shorter Summery Hairstyle To?

Anyway, Helbig is practically oozing of wisdom and she shed some light on interning while chatting with Teen Vogue's YouTube host Claudia Sulewski at VidCon this year.

In the video, which is below, Helbig admitted to having about six internships during her own time as an undergraduate, noting, "I felt like that was the best way to get myself into the real work world."

"It is," she said, adding, "So all of you out there that are doing internships, 'Great, you're doing something very cool and good for yourself.'"

Helbig revealed one of her own memories from interning. It was when she interned at Late Night with Conan O'Brien and she recalled a time when she was put in charge of a run, which is basically interns running errands, but this run was super important since she had to retrieve apples for the late night TV host.

"I was taking it so seriously and I literally sat in the fruit section staring at these Granny Smith apples for a half hour," she revealed.

It's a funny story and Helbig has certainly come a long way since then, but it's always nice to hear how such successful individuals got their start.
