Charlie Sheen expressed his growing need to be charitable when he recently gave a young cancer victim $75,000.

The actor gave the money to a 10-year-old girl who is battling childhood Alveoler Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a cancer that often targets the tissues in children's faces.

The money was given to a Hermosa Beach Police Assoc. fund for the girl after Sheen met with her father, according to TMZ.

The young girl's father, a police officer, talked to the 47-year-old "Anger Management" actor and told him about the dire diagnosis. The treatment for the girl has cost the family with expensive chemo and radiation therapy.

Sheen was touched by the child's case and reportedly said, "No parent should have to watch their kid go through that."

ABC reported that a representative for the actor told the news organization that this was "one of many charitable donations that Charlie frequently makes."

It appears that the actor is softening his image from being the infamous character pop culture has made him through drug filled antics and web rants.

Another recent charity case that Sheen was involved in was helping out fellow Hollywood personality Lindsay Lohan.

The actor made a generous move to help Lohan with her struggling debt which includes over $230,000 to the federal government.

Sheen gave the 26-year-old actress $100,000 to help bring down some of her tax debt to the Internal Revenue Service, according to TMZ.

The two Hollywood personalities have faced criticism over their public lives within the past few years, but they'll soon share the screen with an upcoming role in "Scary Movie 5."

However, Sheen has not received a 'thank you' from Lohan yet. He told Entertainment Tonight, "I'm still waiting for a text to say 'thank you. Anything, you know?"
