There will be challenges in Cam (Tamara Taylor) and Arastoo's (Pej Vahdat) relationship in the upcoming season of Fox's Bones.

What Will Brennan & Booth Do For Work Now On 'Bones'?

Bones executive producer Michael Peterson spoke with TVLine recently where he previewed the upcoming season for Cam and Arastoo.

Apparently their relationship will be challenged in the upcoming 11th season.

'Bones' Star David Boreanaz Returns To Set After 'Personal Health Issue'

"In the six months since Brennan left, Arastoo has pretty much been the main person taking over the lab," Peterson said. "With everything [that happens] in the first two episodes, it's going to be a challenge for their relationship."

As Peterson alluded to, there will be a lot of developments that happen in the first two episodes of the season. The biggest development is Booth (David Boreanaz) going missing. Kim Raver is set to guest star as FBI Special Agent Grace Miller, who investigates Booth's departure.

It will be interesting to see how Booth's disappearance and eventual reappearance will get him and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) back and solving cases. The couple quit their jobs at the Jeffersonian and FBI in the season 10 finale.

Another Bones couple will have an interesting season ahead of them as well: Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T. J. Thyne)

"They have a really interesting, emotional, powerful arc," executive producer Jonathan Collier told TVLine previously. "We're taking them on a ride."

Bones season 11 premieres Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
