It sounds like Cole is really going to lose it on The Affair.

'The Affair' Trailer Shows Tears, Anger & Scandal

Last Saturday, a clip was released where Joshua Jackson (Cole) gave insight on what his character's been dealing with ever since he knew about Noah and Alison.

"He's just sort of empty," Jackson said. "It's like he disappeared inside of his own life."

Noah & Alison's Relationship Is 'Just Beginning' On 'The Affair?'

The actor mentioned how viewers will see things through his eyes in the second season, which may or may not give the character a new kind of persona.

"What's at the core of the show is just human relationships," Jackson said. "So in Season 1, we were completely inside of Alison and Noah's perspective and in Season 2, we're expanding in Cole and Helen's."

Helen is also facing the aftermath of the drama, which led into more frightening challenges.

"What's supposed to be her relaxing summer vacation ends up with a pregnant teenage daughter and being threatened," Jackson pointed out.

The video then shows Cole's dangerous side when holds the others hostage with a gun. This clearly gives Alison a reason to be afraid of him as he loses himself more and more.

"Alison's perspective on Cole would be pretty fearful at this point," Jackson said. "That was a completely out of character moment for him to do something so violent, really, and aggressive."
