Jenelle Evans has a new boyfriend, and despite his criminal record, the Teen Mom 2 star claims he's a great guy.

Just over a week after the reality star began dating David Eason, she's been forced to defend his criminal background and recent stint in prison.

“We all have a past and have gotten in trouble before, he’s a great guy and wish everyone would stop judging him,” Evans told RumorFix on Tuesday. “I’m a great person and have more mug shots than him so I don’t want to hear it!”

On Tuesday, Radar Online published a report, claiming Eason was incarcerated for months until earlier this year, and while in prison, he reportedly spent time with Evans' ex-husband, Courtland Rogers.

The site also revealed Eason was sentenced to a prison term due to several charges, including "breaking and entering, larceny, drug paraphernalia possession and injury to property," and was incarcerated at the Neuse Correctional Institute in Goldsboro, N.C. from July 30, 2014 to Jan. 1, 2015.

Meanwhile, Rogers was at the same facility from July 18, 2014 to Oct. 1, 2014 after being charged with "drug possession, assault on a female and obtaining property by false pretenses."
