According to a new report, Griffith is concerned about how Eason's criminal record could affect their one-year-old son, Kaiser.

“Nathan is absolutely worried about Jenelle dating David and him being so close to Kai,” a source close to the situation told Radar Online on Friday.

Evans went on a double date with Eason earlier this week, and days later, made their relationship official on Facebook. However, while Evans has told her fans she is "so happy" since starting up her relationship with Eason, his recent release from prison has her former fiance worried.

“He is looking into what he can do about custody. Things are in the works. Nathan wants Kai to grow up safely and this guy doesn’t seem like a good guy,” the source explained.

At the moment, Evans and Griffith are sharing custody of Kaiser, but because their young son lives with Evans full-time, she is his main provider. Meanwhile, Griffith has been allowed supervised visits with the 15-month-old, but Evans has restricted him from keeping the boy overnight.

“Nathan could very easily go to court and try to get custody of Kai. He is looking into what his options are,” the source added.

When Radar Online contacted Griffith for comment, he told the site he “doesn’t care who Jenelle dates,” but refused to weigh in on Eason's criminal record.
