Teresa Giudice is finishing up her sentence and while that’s great news it also means that Joe Giudice is gearing up to begin his own time behind bars. He has opened up about what makes him afraid to spend time in jail.

He told E! News in an interview Monday, “There’s nothing to be scared about. You just go in until It’s time to get out like everybody else. You can’t be scared about it. You just go in and do it.”

Teresa has also offered Joe a few tips when it comes to being in federal prison.

“She keeps a positive attitude and that’s how you gotta be. New people coming in, people leaving, so you’re always meeting people. Just because they’re in there doesn’t mean they’re bad people.”

He also revealed that Teresa has learned new lingo that he likes to call “jail talk” with some of her new inmate friends.

“She’s got a little group of friends there. They’re nice. Everybody’s nice. They have all that talk in there, I don’t really know what you wanna call it—jail talk? She learns certain words and I’m like, ‘Really Tre?’”

He added that while they don’t trade money, they often trade goods and services like a pretzel in exchange for getting their hair done.

When asked about comparisons to Netflix’s hit Orange Is the New Black, Joe said he hasn’t tuned in to the series.

Teresa will be released on Dec. 23. Joe is said to be starting his sentence in February.
