Maxiell spoke with VH1 recently and said she didn’t think Draya was a good friend when she brought Brinks on the show only to make her dramatic exit and leave Brinks with the rest of the ladies.

“I feel like Draya kind of hoed her out a little bit. I just fee like she left her hanging. You know, Draya brought her onto the cast, and then left her friend there in front of all these women that she doesn’t know, and it was kind of hard on her.”

As far as Draya’s friendship with Brinks, it caused lots of commotion after Draya pointed out that Brinks was her “real” friend, making some of the ladies feel slighted. But Maxiell confessed she wasn’t sure how close Draya and Brinks were to begin with.

“Draya and I used to talk on the phone, like four hours a day, especially when it was filming. I’d never heard Angel’s name before in my life. So, she was new to me. I know Draya’s friends, and I never heard of her before. I’m not saying they’re not friends. I feel they’re friends, and I said that when we were filming, it’s a business friendship.”

Maxiell and Brinks had their moments during the show, but mainly over Draya’s comments that Maxiell’s story about her cancer survival was not a good fit for the series. Keep up with Enstars for cast news for Basketball Wives LA season 5.
