With so many quality smartphones on the market, such as Apple's iPhone 5 and Samsung's Note 2 and Galaxy S3, consumers have a hard time narrowing down the right device for their needs.

So how do these phones rank against each other when compared side by side?

There are a few similarities and even more differences that make each of the devices a unique choice.

The display of the Samsung Galaxy S III measures in at 4.8 inches with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. The iPhone 5 comes in with a 4 inch display screen at a resolution of 1136 by 640. The Note 2 features is the biggest at 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, which will give its owners a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels.

The memory capacity of 16 to 32 gigabytes is shared by all three phones; however iPhone 5 and Note 2 provide a 64 gigabyte version. A memory card is needed to provide the same space using Samsung's S3 device.

The prices of each can have a big impact on the choice of the consumer.

The iPhone 5 is priced per respective memory capacity at 199$ for 16GB device, $299 for a 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB version. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is available through Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and AT&T for $299.99 with a standard two-year contract. The Galaxy S III comes in as a cheaper option with a basic phone cost $99 with a contract.

Another important feature for many consumers is battery life. Using iPhone 5 you can talk for up to 8 hours on 3G. Internet usage works for up to 8 hours on LTE and up to 10 hours on Wi-Fi. The Samsung Galaxy S3's battery is able to hold up to 12 hours of talk time that vary on the networks available.  The Note 2 is equipped with a 3,100 mAh battery with a talk time of up to 16 hours with 3G usage.

It seems that consumers have some decisions to make in order to find the best smartphone for their needs.
