Tuesday night viewers of NCIS got a glimpse of Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop (Emily Wickersham) back at home in Oklahoma with her mother Barbara (Lindsay Wagner) and one of her brothers, George (Ryan Doom).

Could Bishop Go Undercover With Brody In 'NCIS' & 'NCIS: New Orleans' Crossover?

Gibbs (Mark Harmon) eventually made his way to Bishop's home in Oklahoma too, where he gave her sage advice. By the episode's end, Bishop was ready to return to Washington, D.C. with him.

So how does Wickersham feel about her character's family at NCIS? Well, in the video below from the NCIS YouTube channel, Wickersham can be seen on set at NCIS HQ talking all about the great people in Bishop's life.

Is Emily Wickersham Getting Booted From 'NCIS'?

Wickersham mentioned the "very, very upsetting news" about her character's marital problems. Her husband, Jake Malloy (Jamie Bamber), has been cheating on her with one of his NSA coworkers.

"The NCIS family has been super supportive," Wickersham shared, adding, "I think um...You know it's interesting, I think the their relationships have built in this squad room and the boys have really become such brothers to Bishop. And Gibbs like the same just has her back. And the boys just distract her all the time with jokes or whatever. They've been wonderful."

In case you're unaware of who "the boys" are, Wickersham is referring to mainly Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray). But Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) is fond of Bishop, too, seeing as in this latest episode he admitted to wishing she were around for Thanksgiving.

Wickersham then hinted what the future holds for her character's relationship with Jake.

"You know NCIS works with NSA often," she said, adding, "And I don't know if like we'll have to work with Jake again or what the deal is, but I think in terms of their relationship outside of the professional world an affair like this will be kind of a hard thing to work through. But it will be interesting. I don't know."

NCIS airs on Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
