Agents of SHIELD's Daisy Johnson is possibly the only person on Coulson's team who can actually understand Grant Ward. As such, it appears the Director will tap into the Skye/Ward connection as Hydra and SHIELD prepare to faceoff once more.

A new sneak peek for "Closure" shows Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Daisy (Chloe Bennet) getting down to brass tacks.

"There was something about him. We both had these messed up childhoods; it made it easy to relate," Daisy explains. "I wasn't an act. For whatever reason, Ward never lied to me. He just hid parts of himself that I wasn't ready to see yet."

Daisy even understands why their former colleague fell under the influence of someone like Garrett. In fact, she believes she almost did the same thing when she met Jiaying

"After years of moving from place to place, I totally get how easy it was for him to be taken in by a powerful father figure," Daisy continues. "I even understand how Garrett was able to draw him into Hydra. It's not like I wasn't fooled by my Mom [in Afterlife]."

Don't worry, though. There is no way that Quake is ever going to forgive the turncoat who turned the tides forever.
