Agents of SHIELD fans should watch out - the Marvel series is planning a midseason finale that will make Tripp's death feel like a comedy.

Tripp's untimely demise was the first time Coulson's (Clarke Gregg) team truly felt the icy touch of the Grim Reaper, and the events of "What They Become" reverberated through the series all the way through the season finale. Bearing that tragedy in mind, we are sufficiently worried by Gregg's latest "Maveth" teaser.

"I would say that this midseason finale has two shocking twists and both of them are bigger than anything that happened in last season's midseason finale," Gregg told Entertainment Weekly.

In other words, get the tissues ready. In a throwback to the season 3 premiere, the title is lifted from Fitz's ancient scroll, and as you know, is the Hebrew word for death.

It is unknown exactly what Marvel has in store for the December episode, but based on recent developments, it sounds like SHIELD, the ATCU, and Hydra will all attempt to head back through the Kree portal. Now that we know what's on the other side, however, the journey seems even more dangerous than before.

In the meantime, catch Agents of SHIELD's "Closure" on Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
