Teresa Giudice might be getting released from jail just before Christmas but she was still in federal prison celebrating Thanksgiving without her husband and daughters.

Joe Giudice and their four daughters— Gia, Miliana, Audriana and Gabriella (all under the age of 15), have gone to visit Teresa pretty frequently as she knocks off time from her sentence after she and Joe pleaded guilty to serious federal fraud charges.

But they opted out of visiting her in the Connecticut jail for Thanksgiving. Interestingly enough, one source said that was Teresa’s request.

They told People just days ahead of the holiday that, “Teresa wants Thanksgiving to be as normal as possible for the girls. She just wants the girls to have a good day.”

Instead, Teresa spent time with her inmates and enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal prepared by the facility cooks.

It’s probable that she was able to make a phone call and speak with her kids and thankfully will be home for Christmas. A little more good news is that she will be returning to her mansion.

Her lawyer James J. Leonard Jr., who has been her mouthpiece since she checked into jail back in January said they managed to save their home from foreclosure.

“Like a lot of people, the Giudices had fallen behind on their mortgage payments, which then puts the home into foreclosure as a way to protect the bank. Fortunately, they were able to pay back the money owed in full and the home is no longer under the threat of foreclosure.”

He also said that Teresa refused to let her family be evicted from the home.
