While some of the stars of Fast and Furious 8 have made their wishes for new actors for the movie, Tyrese Gibson probably has the strongest suggestion.

Jordana Brewster Not Returning For Fast and Furious 8?

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Gibson revealed that he want none other than the original Jason Bourne himself, i.e. Matt Damon.

This interview seems to have slipped under the radar and its discovery has amped up our excitement about Fast and Furious 8.

Fast and Furious 8 To Be Inspired By Paul Walker's Vision For Series?

"There is definitely a number eight, yeah!" Gibson confirmed. "And I want Matt Damon to join us!"

The actor also had some other pretty neat futuristic suggestions for action sequences in the Furious 7 sequel.

"They have flying cars now, so that could be interesting to incorporate. I could see Vin driving really, really fast in one of those itty-bitty car planes, like in The Jetsons cartoon," he said.

Meanwhile Damon is working on the fifth movie in the Bourne series. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, Damon dished a bit about the movie. "Without giving too much of it away, it's Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world," he said. "It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy." Paul Greengrass, who directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, will be helming this installment as well.

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.
