The 47th Super Bowl 2013 halftime show will take place today at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Beyonce will headline the event that will likely be the most highly viewed program in the history of television.

A spokesman who works with Pepsi- who sponsored this year and last year's halftime show- said her highly anticipated performance "will be incredibly exciting."

"She is so heavily involved in the creative orchestrations of her performances, which are larger than life and technology masterpieces," Claudia Cahill of OMD Worldwide that oversees Pepsi's entertainment sponsorships, told Bloomberg.

Pepsi struck a $50 million deal with the singer last month then sponsored a fan promotion for the halftime show on NFL.com. Fans were able to submit their photos to win an opportunity to perform with Beyonce. The fans that where selected will dance live on television ahead of or with Beyonce during her performance.

Last year, Madonna broke records when she drew roughly 113 million viewers when she headlined the 12-minute halftime show during the 46th Super Bowl. The game itself attracted over 111.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen.

Beyonce's halftime show  will likely supercede Madonna's viewing audience thanks to her recent lip-sync controversy, according to a Bloomberg report. The "Halo" singer sang over a pre-recorded track when she preformed for President Obama on Inauguration Day.

Last week, an insider gave a rundown of what fans can expect during the halftime show. The source told Us Weekly that Beyonce will kick off her performance with a solo set. Her lineup will begin with the dance number "Crazy in Love." Beyoncé's husband, rap mogul Jay-Z, may also perform with her because he lends his rap vocals on the track.

The source said there will be a Destiny's Child reunion during the halftime show. Kelly Rowland, 31, and Williams, 32, will join the Houston native on stage midway through her set to perform several Destiny's Child hits - including "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Survivor" - and their new song "Nuclear" according to the source.

Williams, however, debunked the rumor and said the reunion is unlikey due to scheduling conflicts.

"I'm going to be in the musical 'Fela!'" Williams told radio station WRUG Media. "I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it's not true. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," Williams added.

Beyonce held a Super Bowl press conference in New Orleans on Thursday, Jan. 31. After she sung the national anthem live, she took questions from reporters.

When asked if her husband Jay-Z will join her on stage during the halftime show, she played coy saying "I don't know. I can't really give you any details. I'm sorry."

When asked if Destiny's Child would join her on stage she said couldn't "say too much unfortunately."

She also said she will definitely sing "live" without a pre-recorded track when she performs.

Super Bowl XLVII begins at 3:30 p.m. PT/6:30 p.m. EST/5:30 p.m. CST and will be televised live on CBS.

A free live stream of the performance will be provided by NFL and CBS Sports.
