It’s no secret that Chris Brown has definitely embraced fatherhood after finding out about his daughter, Royalty, earlier this year. But now he’s speaking on rumors that another man fathered the child with Nia Guzman.

Chris covers the latest issue of Vibe magazine, and got real about speculation that another guy, Guzman’s ex-husband or ex-boyfriend, was Royalty’s father, just after news hit that Chris was a dad.

Interestingly enough, Brown said he had suspicions of whether Royalty was his daughter before her mother, Guzman, confirmed that he was.
“I had thought about it. I had saw pictures, and I was like [‘Dang.’] So I asked, and [Nia] was like, ‘Nah, it’s you.’ So I was like cool, I didn’t think it was an issue.”

He went on to open up about his first thoughts after it hit him that he was a father.

“When I found out I was like ‘she looks just like me.’ And I didn’t care about how me and her mother didn’t have a relationship. I didn’t care about any situation. I just wanted to see her. I just wanted to be able to have that opportunity, as something personal to me. I’m not gonna be upset, I’m not gonna be mad. I have to be honest with myself and pick the priorities over the situation. I had to make my priority my daughter.”

At the time, he was dating longtime girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who said the drama was too much for her to stay with him so the two ended up going their separate ways.
