'Supernatural' Season 11: Series Creator Has An Opinion On Fanfiction, Eric Kripke Speaks Out

Baby

This isn't a scene so much as an entire episode. Supernatural's homage to its unsung hero blew us away. The series took a chance on an extremely difficult concept episode, and it paid of on a scale the cast could never have imagined. "Baby" is everything that keeps viewers coming back week after week.

The Old Switcheroo

The Mark of Cain turned Dean (Jensen Ackles) into something he didn't want to be, and the elder Winchester bro. was willing to do anything to keep the brand from making him the next Cain (Timothy Omundson). As it turned out, "anything" covered everything up to and including killing his baby brother. Fortunately for Sammy (Jared Padalecki), the Winchesters will always save each other, no matter what the cost. Adios, Death (Julian Richings).

"Hug It Out?"

The season 11 midseason finale reunited Sam and Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) in the most devastating of ways. Always looking for the light in the world, Sam erroneously believed he was receiving visions from God. Following these prognostications, the devil's former vessel teamed up with Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and Rowena (Ruth Connell) to have a chat with his old roomie. One perfect man tear later, Sam finds out that he was never talking to God.

"If It Needs More Blood, It Can Have Mine"

The Werther Project attempted to throw the Winchester brothers for a suicidal loop in season 10, but clearly Magnus never expected the bearer of the Mark of Cain to be dropped into the mix. If there is one good thing to be said about Cain's little gift, this is it - Dean managed to overcome his suicidal siren song based solely on the fact that, at the time, he was incapable of a mortal death. Ackles' character came to in time to keep Sam from bleeding out in an effort to recover the codex.

"There's Bad In You, It's In Your Blood"

This finally scene is a double, because we thought one clip wasn't painful enough. Ackles displayed some phenomenal acting during season 10, and the final moments of "The Prisoner" represents just a fraction of Dean's outstanding mytharc. This is where the elder Winchester brother goes around the bend, taking an innocent life and beating the tar out of his best friend.

We've saddled you with a pretty weighty Top 5, so here's a little something to cheer you up.
