Famous hacktivist organization Anonymous is turning the subject of Netflix's Making a Murderer into their latest project.

Celebrities Lose Their Minds Over 'Making a Murderer'

Anonymous has announced that they will be releasing documents to help prove the innocence of Steven Avery, the Wisconsin man whose story is sweeping the nation through the release of Making a Murderer. The plan is to release phone records and evidence that would ultimately support Avery's innocence, in addition to his nephew, Brendan Dassey's, innocence.

Avery was convicted of sexual assault and attempted murder back in 1985 by the Manitowac Sheriff's Department and sentenced to 18 years in prison. DNA evidence was eventually released and Avery was exonerated of the rape charge in 2003.

Then, in 2005, Avery was charged with the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. Massey was charged with being party to first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree sexual assault and mutilation of a corpse.

A new Twitter account called OPAVERYDASSEY was made and they have been posting about evidence they are ready to leak.
