Taylor Lianne Chandler Says 'Things Are Coming Back To Normal'

In a Facebook post on Friday, Chandler went over the times when she was taken advantage of pretty much from the time she was born all the way through adulthood. But when the Olympic swimmer allegedly came into her life, it seemed like it made the pain go away for a little while.

"My views on sex and loving someone through sex are so warped," Chandler wrote. "In the beginning of August of 2014 I was sexually assaulted. Looking back I feel I am lucky he stopped and I got away. Michael came into my life a week or so later and I was coming out of a numbness and desperate for someone to make me safe and feel alright."

Despite all the horrendous moments she's gone through, the woman seems like she's doing what she can to stay positive.

"I feel like my calling would be better served helping other women that have gone through sexual assaults recover," she wrote. "This is where my cycle of being a victim began, and it needs to end. All the things that have happened over the last year are the result of these previous events. I hope this next chapter and journey in my life is a pleasant one and a healing one."

Chandler became part of a scandal after she claimed that she and Phelps were in a relationship. He, however, never confirmed nor denied this.
