The movie star hunk has just been named the new face of Tourism Australia campaign, according to Friday's report from ABC Online. This campaign is meant to help focus on aquatic experiences and coasts in Australia.

This is something that Hemsworth is proud to be a part of since moving back to the continent he came from is one of the best decisions he's ever made.

"In Australia, you're surrounded by the most incredible natural beauty," the actor said in a statement. "It wasn't a hard decision to move back to Australia because this part of the world is such a special place. This is the place I want my kids to grow up- that's the world I want them to be a part of."

Hemsworth is married to actress Elsa Pataky. They have three kids, India, 3, and twins, Tristan and Sasha, 1.

"I'm really looking forward to launching this new campaign in New York and sharing with the rest of the world just how amazing the country really is," the actor continued in the statement.

Tourism Australia Managing Director John O'Sullivan said the Thor star would provide an extravagant voice to tell a beautiful story about the country.

"Chris truly embodies the Australian way of life and his love of his home country, with all its natural beauty, makes him an ideal ambassador," O'Sullivan said.
