The new season of Ink Master is going to be epic.

Chatter On 'Ink Master' Season 7 Premiere Date

On Tuesday, a sneak peek of the seventh season was released with details on the twists and turns that are about to go down. Host Dave Navarro says there will be eight new artists joining the competition and they are going to be "the strongest new batch of artists" the show has ever seen.

So what's the catch this time? As it turns out, former contestants from the series will return to take the spot of any new contestant who gets eliminated. So, perhaps one of the artists from a previous season may end up winning the title this time.

Some of the returning tattoo artists include Sarah Miller (Season 2), Cleen Rock One (Season 5), Sausage (Season 4), Matti Hixson (Season 4), James Vaughn (Season 1), Jime Litwalk (Season 3), Jesse Smith (Season 2) and St. Marq (Season 6).

These artists, as well as all the new ones, are extremely motivated to win the race. All of them have their reasons why they can win--perhaps their unique styles or knowledge of permanent ink. But whatever goes down, Navarro made it clear that this is the season "to win."
