On Wednesday, Daily Mail posted details from the actress's interview with Marie Claire where she was asked if she was taken or not.

"I don't have a boyfriend. Why? You got one for me?" she said. "Right now I find myself having the capacity to love my family and friends, and that's it."

The site pointed out that Johnson was seen leaving her New York apartment in January just moments after her ex Matthew Hitt. This gave the impression that these two were still in a relationship, but clearly, the 50 Shades of Grey star has other things to focus on.

In a previous interview with Elle, Johnson opened up on her character in the 50 Shades series, explaining why her character needed some humor despite the fact that the movie is known for its dark, racy vibe.

"I needed Anastasia to be funny," the actress said. "If you can't laugh during a movie like that, you're f---ed. Literally. You need to have something that everyone can relate to."

She then discussed her character in the upcoming comedy How To Be Single.

"I play a girl who moves to New York under the guise of needing to be independent," she said. "It's about the ebb and flow of finding yourself and finding love and why does it matter."

How To Be Single hits theaters on Friday, February 12.
