Angela Bassett is revealing a little more information on her upcoming character for season 6 of FX's American Horror Story.

Angela Bassett Will Make History In Season 6 Of 'American Horror Story'

Bassett was the first cast member confirmed for season 6 and has been teasing a few things about her character over the past few weeks. The actress spoke with Entertainment Tonight recently and while she initially said "I don't have a clue," she did provide one key detail.

"I think I'm an alcoholic," she said. "That's all I know but I don't know where, why, what made me so."

Bassett had alluded to this alcohol problem in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, where she also tipped off another actress returning for season 6:

"[Executive producer Ryan Murphy] did tell me at the Golden Globes that I would imbibe a little bit too much and yet I was very intuitive also and maybe Sarah [Paulson] somehow was the boss of me," Bassett said.

Bassett has become a mainstay on American Horror Story since season 3, which was subtitled Coven. She would later return for season 4, Freak Show and season 5, Hotel. The actress has received Emmy nominations for her first two seasons, while it remains to be seen if she will get a nomination for Hotel.

Lady Gaga is also expected to return for season 6. She confirmed that she was returning to the series in an interview with Z100 yesterday, but she did not exactly specify that she was coming back for season 6 or just a future season.

American Horror Story season 6 premieres this fall on FX.
