Nintendo might have missed out on a good opportunity to unveil its next generation console at E3 2016, but the gaming giant sure made it a point to attract its fans with what it does best. Indeed, Nintendo seems intent to saturate its fans with upcoming titles, from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind, to its most recent announcement, Ever Oasis.

Ever Oasis is a new IP from the gaming firm which is scheduled to be released for the 3DS handheld gaming console. Developed by Grezzo, a firm known for its 3DS Zelda ports and The Legend of Legacy, the game is classified as an action RPG with an interesting Egyptian theme. Some light puzzle elements are also featured in the game.

The game is set in a vast desert, with the player being tasked to start a village, complete with shops where players drop off items from quests that could be sold to visiting adventurers. This management aspect of the game is one of its primary draws, since the game becomes far more than a conventional RPG adventure.

Perhaps the biggest draw for Ever Oasis is the creative mind behind the project. Working as the producer and director for the game is Koichi Ishii, a man who is known for directing the first three Final Fantasy titles and the Mana series. Apart from this, Ishii is also credited for the creation and design of the Final Fantasy franchise's Chocobos and Moogles.

In the demo that was shown by Nintendo, fans were shown a live demonstration of the game, complete with a dungeon being explored and enemies being battled. From what could be seen in the demo so far, several elements of classic RPGs such a switching between party members and light puzzles would be present in the upcoming game. Special abilities from the playable characters were also featured in the demo.

Nintendo did not announce when Ever Oasis would be made available for the 3DS. From the reception of the new IP among fans in E3 2016, however, it would be a pretty good idea for Nintendo to release the game pretty soon.
