One of the most iconic performers on America's Got Talent opened up on that epic moment when Mel B hit the golden buzzer.

In a previous episode of the talent competition, a 13-year-old girl named Laura Bretan made her way on the stage to sing for the judges. As it turned out, Bretan is an opera singer who blew the auditorium down with her strong vocal skills.

This led into massive applause from the audience where the judges only had remarkable things to say about Bretan. In fact, they were so impressed that Mel was the one to hit the buzzer and send Bretan right off into the next round.

This was clearly a moment she will never forget, something she opened up on with People in Wednesday's report.

"I was in shock," she said. "I had no idea what to do- to stand there, to cry, to laugh. I had no idea what to do. I was just so excited and so surprised."

There was also no doubt that it was pretty scary to audition for Simon Cowell since he's known for his harsh criticism-- unless, of course, that performer knows exactly what to do.

"It was, of course, very overwhelming and nerve-racking," Bretan said on singing in front of Cowell. "I was shaking so bad."

As far as where she would like to be someday down the road, Bretan said she wants to "become a professional singer."

"And, later on, maybe I want to cross over to not only classical and opera music, but to other styles of music and try that also," she added.

Bretan also mentioned that she's still working on keeping her nerves in control when performing on stage.
