The petition to bring back Finding Carter is still active and bringing in signatures.

As of Saturday, the petition to help renew the former MTV series has more than 17,000 signatures with a goal at 18,000. This doesn't guarantee anything though especially since there hasn't been a big news announcement of a renewal lately. But if fans want to keep signing away and spreading the word on social media, perhaps there might be hope for producers to consider letting the show run on another network.

The show didn't have the best of closure with Rick beating up Ben as well as Bird getting an abortion. And, of course, the big moment when it was discovered that Max killed Jared with a question on what his punishment was going to be didn't exactly have a resolution.

In a previous report from TV Insider, Alex Saxon who played Max on the show, explained how this would've changed Max. Unfortunately, there was a lot that could've happened there.

"I think there's a lot to be explored about what would happen if Max went to jail and went where his dad has spent much of Max's life; how he would regress and how he would change," Saxon said. "I'd like to think part of why Max is so empathetic to everybody around him and conscious of taking care of people and not hurting anybody is because he knows the evil, the darkness, that's out there."

Fans likely won't find out what happens down this course unless this petition continues to do well. With only so many signatures happening per day, the odds aren't great for a renewal, but they're not exactly horrible either. But only time will tell if the light at the end of the tunnel will happen.
