People are still signing the petition for a Finding Carter renewal, but the news isn't all that great.

As of Sunday, the petition holds more than 13,000 signatures, which is a new goal. But the problem is that it doesn't seem to bring much attention to any executives who would be willing to let the series continue on another network. And not only that, but it took nearly a month to gain another thousand signatures, meaning the petition is going kind of slowly.

There's no official word if the series could ever land somewhere to let the plot continue with more storylines. But only time will tell if anything gets announced.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much closure for the final episode since Max turned out to be the one who killed Jared. Considering that Max was such a likable character, this is bound to change aspects on who he is with jail coming to his future.

Alex Saxon, who played Max, dished to TV Insider on what he saw in store for his character had the show been renewed for a third season.

"I think there's a lot to be explored about what would happen if Max went to jail and went where his dad has spent much of Max's life; how he would regress and how he would change," Saxon said. "I'd like to think part of why Max is so empathetic to everybody around him and conscious of taking care of people and not hurting anybody is because he knows the evil, the darkness, that's out there."

And with the complicated relationship that Max has with Taylor, one can only imagine how this would affect her. But she still knows her moral roots.

"She obviously doesn't want him to go to jail and have his life shattered anymore," Saxon said. "She's also relatively rational and knows right from wrong. I think. There's probably a part of her that knows that was the right thing to do."
