Less than seven months away from its highly anticipated release, Thor: The Dark World spoilers have been making their way onto the Internet at a rapid rate.

While the sequel is slated to be a blockbuster, its initial behind-the-scenes happenings seemed to put it in a compromising position.

From the point Patty Jenkins had stepped down from the director's helm in December 2011, the rumor mill began to churn into overdrive.

Although HBO television notable Alan Taylor had replaced her, rumors began to go around that Natalie Portman would back out as well.

Although the Portman chatter was eventually revealed to be unwarranted, reports were came out that the production had big trouble ahead.

Despite all of the obstacles, Marvel recently launched its first Thor: The Dark World trailer along with a hand full of high quality images, ultimately putting a stop to the negativity surrounding the comic flick.

In terms of its main plot, it seems as though Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) relationship with his evil brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will be a focal point, in order to battle it out with Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston), the ruler over the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim.

Aside from Hemsworth, Hiddleston, Portman and Eccleston, the highly anticipated flick will also include actors Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Idris Elba (Heimidall), Zachary Levi (Fandral), Jaime Alexander (Sif) and Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Kurse).

Thor 2: The Dark World is slated for its big screen release on Friday, Nov. 8. Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the future hit.
