When Halle Berry went to the doctor thinking she had kidney stones, the actress instead received exciting news that she was pregnant.

Berry is expected her second child, and her first with fiancé Olivier Martinez. When she sat down for an interview with HELLO! magazine to talk about her pregnancy, she revealed how she found out that she was expecting for the second time.

"I was at the doctor's when they told me and I was completely shocked," she said. "I didn't see it coming. I went to the doctor because I thought I had kidney stones or something."

The 46-year-old didn’t think she could have any more children. She told the magazine, "Olivier and I have always wanted to be parents. But I didn't want to get my hopes up."

Berry said her pregnancy was a miracle and said, "This child was as wished for as it was expected." Her daughter, Nahla, had also wanted a sibling and was excited to hear the news.

"She's really happy. Not long ago she asked God for a little sister," Berry said.

The actress is currently working on the next installment in the X-Men franchise. A photo was recently posted online of her posing in costume as Storm.
