They were all preparing to say goodbye to her now because of the news she had perished in a plane crash, but now, the woman who is responsible for the genes that drove Abigail crazy in the first place will arrive in Salem with shocking news about her status on Days of Our Lives.

Chad (Billy Flynn) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) are both grieving her in different ways and have been attacking one another as well because of their difference and the role they each feel one another played in Abigail's descent into madness. But now, Laura (Jaime Lyn Bauer) will show up at her daughter's house, and what she has to say to Jennifer could change everything.

Laura may or may not either change the story about how Abigail is doing. She could either tell Jennifer that she knows for a fact that Abigail is dead, but could change the story around a bit and say that after she escaped from Shady Hills, Abigail went to see her instead of boarding a plane. However, she could then say that the plane crash did happen, and either Abigail reached out to her and was going to find her and never made it, or she did find her grandmother and perished afterwards.

However, Laura could also blow the whole story wife open and claim she knows Abigail is alive, even if she hasn't seen her. Whatever her story, and her motive for claiming it and sticking to it, things could get very interesting now at Horton house when it comes to figuring out the truth about Abigail.

What no one has figured out yet is that Andre (Thaao Penghlis) manufactured the whole story about Abigail's death to try and get Chad to forget about her and potentially cross over to the dark side of his DiMera heritage. In reality, Abigail is still alive-but she is being held captive somewhere, potentially in danger, especially if she's being held because Andre did find her and wants to make sure she can never return to Salem again.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
