The Carolina Panthers are taking on the Denver Broncos in the first game of the 2016 NFL season Thursday night.

Sunday Night Football ironically kicks off on a Thursday, with the Panthers facing the Broncos starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game will air on NBC, with another game scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 11.

If you are not able to watch Sunday Night Football on regular cable television, there are still a few options. Sling TV is a subscription service that allows you to watch various live channels without subscribing to a cable service. Choose the "Blue" option to get NBC and stream the whole game live.

You can also watch through PlayStation Vue, which has multiple plans to choose from depending on your devotion to NFL coverage.

If you already have a cable subscription but cannot directly access cable, there is an official NBC live stream site. However, check to make sure it's available in your area first.

As for the game itself, this will be a rematch of Super Bowl 50, which Denver won by a score of 24-10. Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are ready to get their revenge, though.

"I really can't wait," Newton said recently, according to Panthers.com. "This game will be a great game. We want them at their best, and I'm pretty sure they want us at our best."

"You've got to have success on first and second down, and we didn't have the kind of success we would have liked," head coach Ron Rivera said, of not repeating the mistakes of Super Bowl 50. "Being in third-and-long is a difficult thing. Whether a team is going to 'green-dog' you or blitz you straight up, or whether they are going to play coverage, third-and-long is not what you want to be in."

Various sites are already predicting that the Broncos will defeat the Panthers in the end. You can live tweet the first game by using hashtag #Panthers, #Broncos or #CARvsDEN.
