She was scared he would try to find her and cause problems in her life once again when she realized he had escaped from prison, and now, Kate's (Lauren Koslow) fears have been realized after Clyde (James Read) shows up in her home on Days of Our Lives.

Their romance ended badly after she dropped him suddenly when she felt he was becoming too controlling, and not too long afterwards, he was arrested and sent to prison after evidence of his drug ring emerged, and he was taken in for killing a witness who could have gotten Ben arrested for a crime he committed in Florida. But now, along with Orpheus (George Del Hoyo) and Xander (Paul Telfer), he is on the loose in Salem and trying to get revenge on those he feels betrayed him.

Now, he will start tormenting Kate by waving a gun at her as he threatens to kill her if she even dares to try and turn him in or make any other moves, and she will be forced to stand there and take the torture out of fear for her life. However, Chad (Billy Flynn), also one of Clyde's potential targets, is waiting right outside her front door, aware Clyde is inside, and waiting for a moment to try and save his new business partner.

However, if he shows himself too soon, it could prove to be a costly mistake for both him and Kate, as he is most likely a much bigger target for Clyde and the one he wants to hurt more. Though Kate ended her romance with Clyde and wounded his pride, Chad is the one who truly destroyed everything for Clyde and Ben both. Not only did he wind up being the one who got Abigail pregnant, but his always competing with Ben for her affections is what both Ben and Clyde believed led to Ben's motivation to become the Necktie Killer, his effort to frame Chad for murder and get him locked away forever. The plan failed to work however, and if Clyde feels there is a chance for him to finally take down the last DiMera he had tangled with, he won't hesitate to do it.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
