It is widely known that Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are no longer best friends, Huffington Post reports that the website can reportedly pinpoint exactly when their friendship ended.

Kardashian and Hilton were closer friends since childhood. Once Hilton became famous, Kardashian tagged along, posing for paparazzi with her best friend, who found fame with her notorious sex tape and successful reality show.

The release of Kardashian's own sex tape and the 2007 debut of the reality TV series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians marked the beginning of the end of Hilton's popularity and their friendship. In June 2007, Us Weekly's first "100% Paris-Free" issue signaled a decline in Hilton's popularity and Kardashian became the more famous of the two.

As Kardashian shot to fame, the hotel heiress took any chance she could to take shots at her. In 2008, Paris said that she wouldn't want Kim's famed butt, calling it "gross."

"It reminds me of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag," Paris said.

Kardashian and Hilton made amends in front of the camera, but off camera, their friendship disintegrated. The former best friends were last publicly photographed in together in February 2009 during fashion week.  Their friendship was reportedly completely over by August 2009. There were more people at that time, and ever since, searching the Internet for news about Kardashian instead of Hilton.

Kardashian's role in the spotlight became a sore spot for Hilton, who actually walked off the set of an interview with "Good Morning America" in 2011 after she was asked if she worried that Kim Kardashian was more popular than her:

"No, not at all," Hilton said, only to abruptly end the interview when asked "Do you worry about your moment having passed?"
