Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez among others honored at American Music Awards 2016

The American Music Awards 2016 once again gave recognition to all the hard work the famous talents of Hollywood gave in to entertain and give good music to the audience. As popular singers, rappers and songwriters come together to showcase their hit lists, in return of their God-given craft, is the fruit of sleepless nights, hectic schedules and hilarious die-hard fans. In the end of the prestigious event, each of them has once again proven that they deserve who and what they are now.

On top of the list of winners was Ariana Grande as Artist of the Year during Sunday's big event at Los Angeles. United Press International gives a rundown of winners from Zayn Malik as Best New Artist of the Year and Beyonce receiving the Tour of the Year. Ex-Beau Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez did not fail to surprise everybody on their "presence" in the event, as each got their corresponding awards for Favorite Male Artist, Album and Song for Pop/Rock Category and Favorite Female Artist - Pop/Rock.

Multiple Awardees are as follows; For the Rap/Hip-Hop Category, Drake took home the Favorite Artist, Favorite Album for Views and Favorite Song for Hotline Bling. Rihanna is the Queen of Soul/R&B for winning Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Album for Anti and Favorite Song for Work. Carrie Underwood was awarded Favorite Female Artist for the Country music category with Favorite country Album for Storyteller.

Following their appearances at the American Music Awards 2016 event, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez crosses up to the Billboard's Social 50 chart, as reports from Billboard. This list is a way to see how each personality has influenced the different social media's like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Wikipedia, Tumbler and Vine. Votes were cast mainly on Twitter to see how fans tag the artist's account.

Their performances, acceptance speeches, and mere presence (for Selena Gomez) are the ways to catch the viewer's attention. This will be shown on the page views and searches about the singer or rapper and because of the event, their popularity surges more and more.
