Apart from the fact that the NES Classic Edition is virtually impossible to find these days, the retro-gaming machine re-released by Nintendo this year is almost the perfect holiday and also post-holiday gift for avid gamers.

The video game console has received much praise, however, it also has one shortcoming. While the cable for its wired controller may have been sufficient in the '80s, it is far too short for 2017.

The connecting cable for the NES Classic Edition's controller towards the base console is just 2 and half feet long. This means that if someone sets the Nintendo Mini NES console up on the big screen. Then user will either have to sit too close to the TV or would need a long HDMI cable so that it can be setup from a distance.

The NES Classic Edition that Nintendo has rolled out in November is a miniature replica of the beloved Nintendo Entertainment System that many of today's gamers played back in the days of 80s. Apart from its retro-fantastic design, NES Classic Edition will also be having a satisfying 30-game lineup.

According to iTech Post, there are already products which are offering a fairly simple solution to the NES Classic Edition's disappointing wired controller. One of these is 8Bitdo's NES30 Classic Edition Wireless Controller Set that is a Bluetooth controller and has more buttons than the one for the NES.

Using the Bluetooth controller is easy to pair it with the NES Classic Edition. You can simply turn off the console, plug in the receiver, hold down the controller's Start button for 3 seconds, and press the orange button on the receiver. This will initiate the pairing and then blue LED on the receiver and the one on the controller should stop blinking once the two devices have been paired.

Android Central report shows that apart from the fact that the 8Bitdo controller is wireless, the only other major difference is that players will now have more buttons to deal with that could take some getting used to. It however offers a super simple way of dealing with the NES Classic Edition's one big flaw.
