Nokia is rumored to release at least seven new handsets in the 2017 and one model is already revealed and confirmed, which is the Nokia 6. The rumors have started surfacing about the Android flagship Nokia P1 and the supposed re-launch of the Nokia N-series. Both will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors.

According to WCCFTech, Nokia's popular N-series, Nokia P1, will come out within the Barcelona MWC 2017, which will start from February 26. The news site was pointing toward the reports that are originated from China as source of its information.

In the same report, HMD Global is also said to initially mass produce around 500,000 of Nokia N-series and the Nokia P1 device is said to be powered by Snapdragon 600 chip series. The same chipset is found on numerous mid-range Android phones which were manufactured by Samsung, Oppo and Xiaomi.

No other specs have been provided about the N-series such as the Nokia P1 but if the plan for the line is to become Nokia's mid-range bet this 2017 then it will likely out-spec the Nokia 6. Out of the box, the latter features Snapdragon 430 and 4GB of RAM. So the engine combo for the Nokia N-series could be 6GB RAM and the SD 600 SoC.

One hardware feature that will be exclusive to the Nokia P1 is the camera. Its 23-megapixel main camera will come with Carl Zeiss' lens technology, which should serve as a prompt that Nokia intends to slug it out with Apple, Samsung and Google for other camera smartphone supremacy this 2017. Also, the entire package of the device should be fuelled by a 3500mAh battery to make it last longer, Express Notes.

The report also confirmed that the Nokia P1 will have a supersized 5.7-inch screen with Super AMOLED display which will render in 1080 QHD+ resolution. There will be storage configurations of 64GB and 128GB, but both can take in up to 256GB of extra memory via external MicroSD card.

The variants of Nokia P1 are said to be priced at $800 and $950. No definite release date has been set for the Nokia P1; indeed, Nokia is yet to confirm the existence of the handset that supposedly will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat. However we can expect the Nokia P1 to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017 at an event, which is said to happen on February 26.
