Girls star Zosia Mamet and her sister Clara are the latest celebrities to take to Kickstarter to fund their pet project.

The sisters formed a folk band called The Cabin Sisters and are asking for a whopping $32,000 to fund their first music video. The duo recorded a song called Bleak Love and would like to film a high-budget music video for it.

Zosia is one of four stars on the hit HBO comedy Girls, about a group of young women trying to make it in New York City. Clara is one of the stars of ABC's alien sitcom The Neighbors.

"Being in the entertainment industry has its lesser known downsides," the sisters describe on their Kickstarter page, "like being taken out of the town your family lives in or the demanding schedules that prevent attendance at family functions. We are, despite our wonderful jobs at GIRLS and NEIGHBORS, just sisters."

On what they will do with the $32,000, they list "beautiful gowns, statues, a large opulent loft space, extensive make-up [and] saturated tones."

They note that they have creative people willing to work for them for free; they just need money for travel and food.

The Mamets have received a lot of backlash for the campaign, with many noting that they are likely rich enough from their paychecks on their shows to fund the music video themselves. They also come from a wealthy family; their father David Mamet is a successful playwright.

Many celebrities have taken to Kickstarter over the past year to help fund their creative projects. While some have succeeded, like the Veronica Mars movie and Zach Braff's indie drama, others have failed, such as Melissa Joan Hart's Darcy's Walk of Shame.

As of Thursday morning, The Cabin Sisters have only raised $1,615 from 41 backers. Their goal is to raise the $32,000 by June 9.
