Based on the player base figures that was announced by Ubisoft just recently, it can be assumed that the upcoming release of their latest open world tactical shooter video game, "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands," will be well attended. The developer revealed that the game's various beta testing stages had seen over 6.8 million gamers participating.

According to VG247, the figure sets an entirely new record for the game developer. "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" is officially now the biggest beta phase title the company has ever launched, trumping "Tom Clancy's The Division," which saw 6.4 million players participating in its beta tests. The company also revealed that players within the beta had logged a total of 2 billion minutes in the game and that 60 percent of participants had played cooperatively with other players.

Ubisoft previously launched several beta tests for the game, including a closed beta, an open beta, and a technical beta. The closed beta for "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" ran between Feb. 3 and Feb. 6. It was then followed by an open beta held between Feb. 23 and Feb. 27. The technical beta then followed shortly after. As per a report from Gamespot, all beta players got access to the new Bolivian provinces map, which is revealed by Ubisoft as the largest map they have ever created.

To express their appreciation to the participants of the beta, Ubisoft will be giving all beta players the "Unidad Conspiracy" bonus content, which will include three new missions that will be taking place in the Media Luna region. All of the missions will, of course, be made available to other players, but at a later date. "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" Beta participants are also required to purchase the game before March 31 using the same Ubisoft account as the beta to avail of the bonus content.

"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" is scheduled to be released in just a few days, on March 7. The game will be playable on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Windows PC.
