Microsoft Corporation and Apple Inc. have been competing in different arenas of tech products. Now, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will reportedly battle out against iPad Pro 2 and it appears that the Redmond-based company's pride aces over the upcoming tablet from the Cupertino-based tech giant.
According to Digital Trends, Microsoft already removed the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 from its online store. This move from the tech giant made its patrons speculated that the company is already preparing for the release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 in Q1 2017. There were also reports suggesting that the, the 2-in-1 hybrid device will be Microsoft's answer to Apple's pride; iPad Pro 2.
As for the specs shoot-out, News4C made a keen comparison between the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and iPad Pro 2. It was mentioned that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will surely have a big advantage over the Apple's upcoming iPad Pro 2. One lead of the Surface Pro 5 is that this device will be fortified with Intel's seventh generation Kaby Lake processors. Meanwhile, its rival; iPad Pro 2 is rumored to be engineered by the company's own A10X chipset.
Aside from that, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will become available ship with a surface dial, stylus and cover keyboard. On the other hand, Apple will only bundle its iPad Pro 2 with an Apple Pencil and smart keyboard.
It can be remembered that previous reports suggest that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Apple iPad Pro 2 do not suit in the same group making it quite hard to equate them. It was noticeable that, Microsoft has created its Surface Pro lineup with one purpose in mind which is to deliver a 2-in-1 device that can be used as a laptop or a tablet.
On the other hand, Apple's iPad Pro lineup can only be utilized as a tablet. Nevertheless, the new iPad Pro 2 is expected to be capable of offering the same hardware performance as most laptops, it will pare in contrast with Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
