Cassadee Pope, winner of season 3 of The Voice, has released Wasting All These Tears, the first single off her upcoming album.

The song debuted on YouTube late Monday night and is available for download on iTunes.

Wasting All These Tears features Pope singing a Carrie Underwood-esque country ballad with a hint of Avril Lavigne edge. The chorus reads:

"You left me / Standing on the corner crying / feeling like a fool for trying / I don't even remember why I've wasted all these tears on you / I wish I could erase our memory / 'cause you didn't give a damn about me / and finally I'm through wasting all these tears on you."

The 23-year-old singer tweeted her gratitude to her fans Monday night:

"Woo! Trended in the US! Love you all & I'm so happy to hear you're enjoying the song. It's bedtime for me. See ya tomorrow on ‪@NBCTheVoice!"

Pope will be performing Wasting All These Tears on The Voice's live results show Tuesday night.

Pope became popular in season 3 of The Voice as she sang songs by Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert. Though she didn't originally start out singing country pop songs, her performance of Over You by Miranda Lambert catapulted her to the top of the iTunes singles chart.

When Pope reached the finals, she sang Cry by Faith Hill, Steve McQueen with coach Blake Shelton and a reprise of Over You. She won The Voice on December 18, 2012, beating fellow finalists Terry McDermott and Nicholas David.

Before winning The Voice, Pope was the lead singer in a punk rock band called Hey Monday. The band announced their hiatus in 2011 after Pope went to audition for The Voice.

Watch Pope perform Wasting All These Tears on The Voice Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on NBC.
