The 2013 CMT Music Awards took place Wednesday night in Tennessee, with country music's biggest stars coming out for performances and the chance to add to their collection of coveted awards.

Among the night's winners was 30-year-old Carrie Underwood, who took home perhaps the night's biggest honor: Video of the Year. She received the win for her song Blown Away, in a category where she was nominated alongside Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line. She also performed the track on Wednesday as a tribue to residents in Oklahoma coping with the aftermath of the recent tornados.

Country music couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert both took home awards Wednesday night. The Voice judge won Male Video of the Year for Sure Be Cool If You Did, and his wife won CMT Performance of the Year and Female Video fo the Year. The latter award was for Mama's Broken Heart, and she also performed the song at the awards ceremony.

Swift was nominated for two awards but did not take home either. She took to the stage for a performance of her single Red, off her latest album with the same name.

Like Lambert, Florida Georgia Line took home two awards on Wednesday: Breakthrough Video of the Year and Duo Video of the Year. Both wins were for the song Cruise, off the band's 2012 album Here's To the Good Times. They released a remix of the track in May that features rapper Nelly, and they got together to perform the song on Wednesday. Nelly joined them on stage sporting an army green tank top with "Cruise" written across the front.
