Actor Liam Hemsworth goes shirtless in a recently released trailer for his new spy film Paranoia, in which he plays a tech-savvy student that gets involved in the world of business espionage.

In the clip he gets steamy with actress Amber Heard as they fool around in bed and then goes off to work for - and later fight - warring tycoons played by Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman. The trailer features Hemsworth, 23, in several shirtless scenes as he plays Adam Cassidy, a Brooklyn native hired by Oldeman to work for a rival corporation (Ford's) and steal trade secrets that he then reports back to the former. As he gets deeper into the scheme of his deception, he transforms from "a bridge-and-tunnel" guy to a lavish-living, suited socialite.

Hemsworth, who is rumored to have ended his engagement with Miley Cyrus in May, admitted to Yahoo! that he was nervous to work alongside industry veterans such as Ford, Oldman and Richard Dreyfuss, the latter of which plays his father in the film. He said, "Knowing that those guys were coming aboard is pretty frightening. I've never worked with people like that before."

Oldman, in particular, was intimating for Hemsworth from the first day of shooting together.

"He just came in with so much intensity -- and he's yelling and spitting in my face in this scene, interrogating me, and everyone on set just went dead silent," the Australian actor said. "It was a real punch in the face. It was like, 'Okay, he's here. Step your game up.'"

Paranoia is directed by Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde and 21) and an adaptation of Joseph Finder's 2004 novel of the same name. The film hits theaters Aug. 16.

Hemsworth is also promoting his second film due out this year - The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. He and his co-stars, including Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, were at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' novel will hit theaters on Nov. 22 in the U.S.
