Kathy Wakile is about to go head-to-head with her Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars, but not on the Bravo reality series.

After leaving the show last year, Wakile and her husband, Richard, are set to open a new restaurant this month -- just weeks after their former co-stars, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, opened their own spot in New Jersey.

According to a report by All About the Real Housewives on Friday Wakile and her husband recently traveled to Italy in hopes of being inspired to take the sights and tastes back home to their new venue, Pizza Love.

"Obviously, Kathy and Rich's restaurant will be Italian-themed and serve pizza, Mediterranean eats, and Kathy's specialty desserts," the outlet revealed to readers.

During their trip, Wakile shared a number of photos with her fans and followers on Instagram.

News of Wakile's new restaurant came weeks after Giudice and Gorga opened the doors of Gorga's Homemade Pasta & Pizza in East Hanover, New Jersey.

"My mother loved to cook; it was like her drug," Joe Gorga told People magazine last month. "I always told her I was gonna open up a restaurant for her. Then I got busy. While I signed a contract on this place we lost her. So this is for her."

"We wanted to share her recipes with the world," Giudice added. "I always would say, 'Mom, everyone has to try your food!' because that's how I learned to cook."
