The Atlanta Hawks are currently being sued for not giving celebrities the royal treatment, especially those because of their race.

Prior to performing at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Drake, Migos, Kanye West and Tyler Perry were forced to walk through metal detectors before entering. However, celebrities such as Bon Jovi and Amy Schumer were granted access without any issues.

Lawsuits are being filed as the Atlanta Hawks since they are being accused of racism and discrimination.

According to a report by TMZ, a former Atlanta Hawks security manager, Sam Hayes, is suing the team claiming he was wrongfully fired after pointing out racial discrimination was made against black celebrities. The system is operated by the team.

Hayes claims his white boss would make black celebrities go through intense security and precaution before they were granted entrance to the arena, unlike the white celebrities.

When Drake and Future performed there on August 26 last year, they were asked to go through several metal detectors. The stars requested to bypass through the detectors, however, they were denied.

There is definitely a pattern in celebrity treatment. Kanye West, 2 Chainz, The-Dream, Tyler Perry and Migos were also denied access to bypass the metal detectors. However, celebrities such as Adele, Ariana Grande, Bon Jovi, AC/DC and Amy Schumer were granted access without any issues.

"Hip-hop acts draw a different crowd and the white acts bring in more money," Hayes' manager responded once he was questioned about how the celebrities were treated.
