Tyra Banks And Beau Erik Asla Head Towards Splitsville
Supermodel Tyra Banks and boyfriend Erik Asla are splitting after being together nearly for five years according to Page Six.This is happening two years after they welcomed their son through a surrogate. It seems like the couple has moved out of their LA mansion.
However, an insider says that they will be parting ways on good terms and have decided to co-parent their son. According to reports, the couple will maintain their relationship on a professional level.
Erik will apparently be shooting the opening credits for the upcoming season of "America's Next Top Model". There was trouble in paradise after the birth of their son but were trying to work things out for over a year.
The duo has largely been private about their relationship. The two met at the Norway version. Erik Asla,51 years old is a photographer based in Norway. After coming to Los Angeles he was hired by top-notch photographer Herb Ritts as per reports. His work has been featured in a few rags like Allure, Bazaar, Dwell, Elle, Glamour, GQ Australia, Marie Claire, The New York Times Magazine, Vogue and Vanity Fair. He has also shot for Calvin Klein and Saks Fifth Avenue.
After the birth of their son, he was thrilled and captioned an Instagram picture announcing the birth of his son saying "Witnessing the dawn of life is quite possibly life's greatest gift."
As for Banks she has been trying hard to protect her son from the spotlight and has not posted any picture of him on social media until a special photo which was a Father's Day picture dedicated to daddy Erik where she captioned it "To all the amazing daddies out there that love their kids unconditionally like my mommy's daddy and my daddy, too...HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! - York."

The duo was keen on starting a family of their own and Banks who was battling with fertility issues of her own, finally decided on surrogacy. Later they welcomed their son Erik via surrogate.
