Are Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton getting ready for the next step in their relationship?

According to a new report, the couple is crazy in love with one another after over two years of dating, and a proposal could be coming soon. In fact, an insider claims Shelton may propose to his girlfriend over the upcoming holidays.

“Blake and Gwen are crazy in love,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life on Nov. 13. “Their relationship is stronger than ever and they both feel ready to take the next step. The Christmas special would be the perfect opportunity or Blake to propose. It would be awesome to see him go down on one knee, plus, it would guarantee a huge ratings boost.”

As fans of the couple will recall, Stefani and Shelton fell in love with one another on the set of the ninth season of The Voice and as the new episodes of the season aired on NBC, they went public with their relationship in Nashville, Tennessee. Since then, Stefani and Shelton have continued to flaunt their love for one another on social media and are often seen spending time together in Los Angeles and in his hometown in Oklahoma.

Although a wedding may be coming soon for Stefani and Shelton, their ceremony may be quite small. As the source revealed, the couple may choose to forego a big ceremony and reception and elope instead. While nothing is set in stone, the source said that Stefani and Shelton may want to make their relationship official in a quick ceremony and celebrate with a larger party later on.

“They’ve both been married before and feel they don’t have to go all out and making a big deal out of it,” the insider explained. “It’s something that has been discussed on a few occasions.”

Prior to dating Shelton, Stefani was married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale for 13 years. The former couple shares three kids, including 11-year-old Kingston, 9-year-old Zuma, and 3-year-old Apollo, and parted ways in August 2015. Weeks prior, Shelton announced that his four-year marriage to fellow country star Miranda Lambert had run its course.
