Brad Pitt's 54th birthday is coming up later this month and as he nears his big day, he is reportedly hoping to spend time with his six kids, including 16-year-old Maddox, 14-year-old Pax, 12-year-old Zahara, 11-year-old Shiloh, and 9-year-olds Vivienne and Knox.

“Brad is really looking forward to his birthday this year as he’s going to have all the kids with him,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life on Dec. 4. “Maddox and Pax have told their dad that they’re going to cook him a special birthday dinner, and the girls are going to make him a cake."

Pitt has been spending time with his kids on and off since last September when he and his estranged wife, Angelina Jolie, called it quits after two years of marriage. However, while Jolie is often seen out and about with all six of the children, Pitt has not been seen with any one of his kids since their September 2016 breakup.

"A lot has changed over the past year, and Brad is feeling so much better now after a really difficult twelve months," the source continued. "Brad’s children mean everything to him, and he hates not being there every day with them—but he’s seeing a lot more of the kids now that they’re living close by, and he feels like he’s finally able to make up for lost time."

According to a report, Pitt didn't have a great 53rd birthday because he was fresh off his split from Jolie but luckily, one year later, he has reportedly gotten back on track and began looking to his future with excitement.

Unfortunately, despite his positive outlook on life, Pitt recently faced hardship after he wasn’t able to attend his son Pax’s birthday last month. As a source close to Pitt told the outlet, he has a strong desire to be a part of all of his kids' milestones but because of his soon-to-be-ex-wife, he was left sad and disappointed that seeing his son Pax on his 14th birthday wasn't possible.

Since splitting from Jolie last year, Pitt has been linked to a number of other women, including Sienna Miller, Margot Robbie, Selena Gomez, and Kate Hudson, but so far, he hasn't gone public with anyone. Pitt has also been rumored to be facing a potential reunion with Jolie, but there doesn't appear to be any truth to the report.

Pitt will turn 54 on Dec. 18.
