David Cassidy, a musician, and star of the popular 70s sitcom, Partridge Family, has deliberately left his daughter, actress Katie Cassidy, out of his will.

Katie Gets Zilch

David passed away at the age of 67 on Nov. 21 after suffering from liver and kidney failure. He already had a will drawn out to express his wishes as to how his assets should be distributed after his demise but intentionally chose to cut his daughter out of it.

The late actor and musician's will and testament obtained by The Blast specifically states that although he has two children, daughter Katie Cassidy and son Beau Cassidy, all references made in the document to his child or children should be to Beau and not Katie.

The document states that David had approximately $150,000 in various assets and the ownership of the assets should be handed over to Beau. His three half-siblings, however, will receive anything that classifies as "music memorabilia." The will also categorically mentioned that Katie should receive zero benefits from his fortune.

"It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy," David wrote in the will.

Father and Daughter's Troubled Relationship

It is important to point out that the will was filed in 2004 and David shared a tumultuous relationship with Katie, an actress best known for her portrayal of Laurel Lance, the alter ego of Black Canary on The CW's Arrow. Katie was raised by her mother, former model Sherry Williams, and stepfather Richard Benedon.

In February, David told People that despite he was Katie's biological father, he never shared a relationship with his eldest child and is no longer in contact with her.

"I've never had a relationship with her," he told the publication. "I wasn't her father. I was her biological father but I didn't raise her. She has a completely different life."

A source revealed that there were many issues in the family because of David's struggles with alcoholism. However, all the members of the family, including Beau, brothers Patrick and Shaun, and ex-wife Sue Shifrin, reunited in support of the late actor following his hospitalization.

Despite Katie's complicated relationship with her biological father, she rushed to be by his dad's side. A couple of days after David's passing, the Arrow actress took to social media to share a touching tribute honoring the late actor.
