Simone Biles has taken to Twitter to clap back at fans who had anything negative to say about her appearance earlier this week.

It marked the gold medalist’s debut as an honorary cheerleader for the Houston Texans NFL team.

Unfortunately, Biles' big day was partially overshadowed by fans who insulted her because of her body shape and appearance. However, Biles, who was supported by her longtime boyfriend, Stacey Ervin, Jr., didn’t waste time in responding on social media.


So far, the tweet has received 11,000 likes, more than 1,000 retweets, and more than 500 comments. Biles’ debut marked the first time her hometown NFL team, the Houston Texans, have had an honorary cheerleader hit the field. The team went head-to-head with the San Francisco 49ers for the big game.

While she might not be an actual member of the team, she was definitely a professional when it came to learning every step and move.

'Part Of The Sisterhood'

Texans cheerleader Mallory Moore revealed to TMZ Sports that it only took Biles two to three days to learn all of the moves. The team also welcomed her with open arms by setting her up with her own locker and said she can hit the field with them anytime she wants.

“Once you’re part of the team, you’re a part of the sisterhood,” Moore told the publication.

As for Ervin, he didn’t address the negative comments head-on via social media. Instead, he pumped up Biles on his own Instagram page as he shared photos of them together along with some of her family.

Biles and Ervin went public with their relationship on social media back in August. Since then, she has updated fans on how the two plan to stay together when she starts to train for the 2020 Olympics. Those games are slated to take place in Tokyo.

“He’s an elite athlete and he’s traveled and stuff, so he understands it,” said Biles during an interview recently. “We already know in each other’s lives we don’t come first, and that’s okay with the both of us. So we do what need to do, and then when we come together it’s fine.”
