Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber started off the New Year together in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Just two months after rekindling their romance, Gomez and Bieber traveled separately to Mexico but celebrated the New Year as a couple.
"Justin flew in to Cabo on a private jet from Cancun where he spent a few days with his family," an insider told E! News on Jan. 1. "He arrived on Saturday evening and checked into an oceanfront villa 10 minutes away from Selena's villa where she was staying."
On Sunday night, after arriving in Mexico last Wednesday, Gomez's friends reportedly enjoyed a dinner party with a mariachi band and Bieber was able to swing by to spend time with his on-again, off-again girlfriend. As fans may have seen, Gomez was confirmed to be in Mexico early last week after her friends began sharing photos and updates on social media from their private jet and then, from the beach.
Around the same time, another insider spoke to E! News about Gomez's arrival in town, claiming the singer was giggling with friends as they took photos of one another.
As for what they did when the clock struck midnight, the source went on to say that Gomez and Bieber enjoyed a low-key celebration and dressed casually as they rang in the New Year together with fireworks over the ocean.
"Justin had a great New Year's Eve with Selena. He is looking forward to 2018 with her. It was a special evening shared with a few close friends in a beautiful place," the E! News insider added.
Gomez and Bieber were first seen hanging out with one another for the first time in over a year at the end of October. A short time later, sources confirmed that Gomez's 10-month romance with The Weeknd had come to an abrupt end just after the couple had moved in together in New York City.
Since then, Gomez and Bieber have been photographed with one another regularly in Los Angeles and also paid a recent visit to Seattle, Washington.
While Gomez and Bieber haven't exactly been hiding their romance from their many fans and followers, they also haven't been completely open with their audience. Instead, they've allowed photographers to catch them together from time to time as they do their best to keep their newly reconciled relationship protected.
